Blogger would be a great way for students to share their writing with a large audience. Blogs are a great way to keep in touch with parents. You as a teacher can update it weekly with important dates and information.

Another way that you could use this in the classroom would be during a persuasive writing unit when students are researching real issues. This keeps learning meaningful and relevant when students know that other community members will be reading what they worked on.
